Free Raleigh, NC Getaway
About 10 years ago, I used to live on the coast of North Carolina. A couple friends and I used to visit Raleigh once in awhile and it was a pretty cool place. One of the neat events out there is the Diwali Festival. It's an Indian culture festival where you can try foods like Tandoori Chicken and check out the handmade jewelry and crafts.
Raleigh would make a great Fall Getaway. The North Carolina State Fair is coming up next weekend. That's actually running the same weekend as the Diwali Festival so you can spend all weekend eating! Or you could eat all the good Indian food then hit the rides at the fair. Though that might not be a good idea. Maybe rides first then food.
