Travel insurance

When you go on a trip, it's always a good idea to get travel insurance. For those with medical problems, it can be troublesome to find medical travel insurance. People who enjoy going on "dangerous" trips can also have a problem finding coverage.

Cover My Travels offers travel insurance for just about anyone. They will asses pre-existing medical conditions to find out if the condition has been under control for at least one year. Some of the conditions they will cover include diabetes, asthma, glaucoma and an enlarged prostrate. Often times, insurance companies will not cover someone with these conditions due to a high risk of the person needing medical attention while away from home. In my opinion, that's not very fair. Even sick people need a vacation once in awhile.

What about a vacation that can be considered dangerous? Cover My Travels will cover activities such as snorkeling, wind surfing, white water rafting and snowboarding. Just because there is a high risk doesn't mean you should be forced to go without insurance coverage. There are some requirements for these types of coverage but, as long as you follow the rules, you should be OK.
